(09/02/15) – During the beginning of this month Preacher, Red and I headed out to a small church in Weatherford Texas. I don’t know how many of our readers have been to Weatherford, but it’s in the middle of no where. The area is filled with nothing but beautiful corn fields as far as the eye can see, and in the middle of all this corn is a tiny church by the name of Bethesda United Methodist.

Bethesda is led by Pastor Brady Johnson, who was very personable and people loving. This was very evident in the content of his congregation’s character. Every single person, staff and on looker alike, not only greeted us with extreme kindness but made sure we had everything we needed. Our talk took place after a church dinner, which was more of a potluck, during which I tasted the most delicious brownies I’ve ever had. Stood up in front of their congregation and exclaimed, “I’ll marry this brownie chef sight unseen!” (kidding, of course)

I’m not sure where they all came from but a surprising turnout of 200 plus people (the largest Bethesda’s seen) welcomed Preacher and I as we took the stage. During out presentation, with the Lord as our guide, the dogs inspired 62 people to make new or renewed commitments to Jesus Christ!

Special thanks to Pastor Johnson for having us and we hope to visit again soon.
